Venue group Blank Canvas is reopening the E1 power station as a dry-hire event space with an industrial edge.
Built in 1890, it was one of five of its kind that used steam to power machinery across London. The Grade II-listed venue has since been an arts centre and restaurant, and will now become a private-hire space.
Seated dinners can be arranged for up to 250 guests, or you can host 400 at a standing reception across 20,000sq ft.
This isn't just another bare-bones spot: we like that organisers are able to play around with the open space to fit their event's requirements. Inside, you'll find exposed brickwork, original machinery, rusty chains and pressure pipes – a backdrop that's still very much on trend.
