Puttshack has announced it will be launching a minigolf site in the City in March 2019, in addition to its first venue which is due to open in April this year at Westfield. Considering the idea is the brainchild of the teams behind Bounce, All Star Lanes and Topgolf, it comes as little surprise that the venue comes with plenty of private hire options and will be fusing sport with technology.
In fact, the founders claim Puttshack is the world’s first super-tech indoor minigolf experience, with sophisticated ball tracking and scoring technology. The patented Trackaball is essentially a high powered mini-computer inside the ball that can monitor what’s going on and share video highlights. No scoresheets necessary.
At the Westfield venue, there’ll be seven areas available for exclusive hire, suited to groups of 10-110, and food and drink options can be added on to the packages. Summer parties will be well catered for too with the option for a full-venue takeover for 750 guests across all four courses.
The City venue will take over a big chunk of space (try 2,000sq m) at the Grade II-listed No 1 Poultry. Its main entrance will be in front of The Ned, but there’ll also be a separate entrance from within Bank station.
Adam Breeden, founder and CEO of Bounce says, “It has been our ambition to create the best minigolf experience in the world and we believe Puttshack delivers just that.” With that much hype built up already, we’re eager to putt it to the test ourselves.
