A new luxury hotel called The Gantry is set to open in London's Stratford, complete with a restaurant and rooftop bar.
The Gantry is the latest project by the Curio Collection, an offshoot of the Hilton brand, to open in Stratford. The new hotel will be located opposite Stratford International train station and will be opening summer 2020 on Celebration Avenue.
The east London hotel will feature a stunning rooftop bar, set to rival nearby Allegra at The Stratford, a seventh-floor hotel restaurant which also boasts outdoor terraces. The Gantry claims that its rooftop bar will be the highest in east London, boasting amazing views of the city, to the delight of local punters. The hotel has also promised a destination restaurant on the first floor, complete with alfresco dining.

The Gantry hotel is being built by Ardmore, whose previous clients include Corinthia London and The Ned. The 18-storey hotel has 285 bedrooms and will feature event spaces as well as restaurants, and the stunning skybar.
Stratford has seen a lot of regeneration in the past few years, with lots of investment and new developments boosting the economy of the area. The industrial suburb had previously gone through a period of economic decline, until regeneration was kick-started by the addition of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the Westfield shopping centre. It is now the second most significant business zone in London after Canary Wharf, with a fast-growing commercial sector.

The Curio Collection by Hilton also owns The Trafalgar and Lincoln Plaza, making The Gantry the third Curio hotel to open in London. The upscale hotel group is a soft brand, as it is supported by Hilton, with a portfolio that encompasses over 30 hotels all around the world. Curio is also set to open a few more hotels in London, such as the Hart Shoreditch and another property with views of St. Paul’s Cathedral.
