Dating from 1670, Skinners’ Hall is a Grade I-listed building with a history that’s as rich as its interiors. The Roof Garden is a tranquil space surrounding a fountain and suits civilised summer entertaining.

With a series of light, bright spaces this members club makes a handsome setting for summer dos. The most obvious spaces for alfresco entertaining are the two terraces. Views over the City with a cocktail? Sounds good to us.

Just in time for warmer days, the football club is bringing back its popular Summer Garden pop-up. Guests can watch the season’s sports on an outdoor screen while enjoying barbecues, Pimm’s and ice cream.

Well placed for King’s Cross and the Eurostar, the venue has 22 elegant rooms available for events. The peaceful botanical garden adds further appeal for the warmer months – as does the venue’s striking courtyard.

The impressive venue recently reopened for events following a £30m refurb. Looking out across the water from a prime spot on the north bank, the Johnson Roof Terrace can host memorable barbecues and summer parties. The indoor Riverside Room is the spot for dancing later on.

This modern arts hub has two light and airy spaces for summer entertaining. The Regency-style Nash and Brandon Rooms also give guests prime views of Big Ben and The Mall. You can look forward to catering from Peyton Events too.

The Grand Ballroom (as attractive as when it first received guests over 150 years ago) opens onto a terrace overlooking the Courtyard Garden. Elsewhere, high ceilings and large windows give the Postillion fine views of All Souls Church, and is a great spot for a cocktail reception.

This is one of those event spaces that can justify its superlatives. The Renzo Piano-designed building allows guests to see up to 40 miles away, in all directions, thanks to two viewing platforms.

London Transport Museum brings a striking venue to a prime location beneath the glass and cast-iron roof of the old Covent Garden flower market. You can also enjoy vintage public transport vehicles and exhibitions that look at London’s future transport system.
