More details have been revealed about
the new Bluebird Café, which opens its doors in White City this week.
The café’s interior has been designed by David d’Almada’s Sagrada and combines 1960s British style with modern Bluebird Chelsea glamour. Artwork includes works by young British artists as well as colourful designs inspired by Bridget Riley and Celia Birtwell.
As per the original, private hire will be big business. The restaurant and bar, terrace or entire venue can be hired for up to 250 standing guests. If they want to eat though, think closer to 136 seated.
On the food front, executive chef Simon Gregory has put together an exciting modern European menu. Desserts will come from executive pastry chef, Roger Pizey, who will be serving a sweet-toothed nod to the Kings Road: Chelsea chocolate cheesecake with orange sorbet.
Alongside the café and bar, a spacious year-round terrace overlooking the Television Centre’s circular core is set to rival that of the Chelsea original.
