The tropical-themed club that’s popular with celebrities and royalty is opening a second venue on 29 September in Kensington. Yes, it’s available for private hire.
Mahiki will take the place of Bodo’s Schloss, which closed last month. It’ll be swapping alpine interiors for a truly tiki vibe and hoping to inject some much-needed energy into London’s nightclub scene.
Inside will be decked out with Polynesian-style statues, exotic plants and even an ice sculpture of a treasure chest (the trademark cocktail vessel the Mayfair venue is known for). Bookers can secure exclusive hire for 350 guests.
It’s also been confirmed that its Pan Asian-themed restaurant Pufferfish will have a private dining room with a capacity of 20 seated or 30 standing. Group menus are yet to be confirmed, but picture dramatic dishes like sushi seared with a blowtorch at the table and you’ll have the right idea.
