Flat Cap Hotels has just finished renovating Cheshire’s former Knutsford Crown Court into a venue that will host conferences and events. The doors officially opened to the Grade-II listed building on 1 July.
Designed by architect George Moneypenny in 1818, the hotel has kept its original Georgian architecture, creating a sophisticated vibe.
Meeting and event spaces are available now, while the first 10 bedrooms will be added later this year. Forty more will complete the site in 2018.
The Court Room is the largest of the lot with high-vaulted ceilings and space for 400 banquet-style or 550 at a standing reception. For something smaller, The Moneypenny Suite can host private dinners for 100 and there are six further flexible rooms for 10-100 guests.
What we’re really looking forward to is the opening of the Rooftop Gardens in late July. Filled with botanical herbs, seasonal flowers and a chef’s garden, this is the spot for drinks receptions of up to 100 guests.
