Cineworld Leicester Square would probably say so. The brand announced the reopening of its flagship venue recently, following a major refurbishment that includes the launch of its 4DX screening room.
The 136-seater space has hi-tech motion seats and special effects that promise to ‘stimulate all five senses’. Wind, fog, snow, lightning, bubbles, water and a variety of scents will work together to bring screenings to life.
We attended the venue’s relaunch party recently, where the great and the good enjoyed drinks and canapés before settling in to the 4DX screening room to watch Rampage. Besides films, we’re told the space can be used to give an ‘extra boost’ to product launches or corporate presentations.
Otherwise, you can get your gang in for a private screening of an old classic as part of an away day. What with smells now playing a part in the viewing experience we’re thinking that Charlie & The Chocolate Factory wouldn’t be a bad shout.
There are eight further screens to choose from in the venue and the headline space offers London’s only laser Imax screen (brighter and sharper, apparently), with space for up to 720 delegates.
