Marriott Hotels has launched an online platform where bookers can secure meeting rooms for under 30 people within 30 days.
For small meetings, it’s a much more efficient tool than what’s been on offer in the past. Its functionality is similar to that of booking a hotel room: you never have to wait for a confirmation as everything shown is available and can be booked instantly. The main search criteria include location, attendees, seating layout and number of days, and once a venue has been selected, you can opt for additional amenities – from a laser pointer to a laptop.
Catering options are part of the booking process too, with individual time slots to fit in teas, coffees and working lunches. As an added bonus, you’ll get 10% off catering and equipment when you book with American Express.
It also works well in combination with the Marriott Meeting Services app, where you can make real-time requests with the on-site team if you have a sudden change of plan. Emergency coffees are a real thing.
