Harrods’ new multimillion-pound wine and spirit rooms: an immersive destination for novices and experts alike, featuring aroma tables, private tastings, consultations and more.
Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the space is an ode to the golden days of the 1920s with marble patterned floor and limed-oak timber wall panelling.
For special events and tastings, a private room with built-in live video streaming will be available for hire. Although details are yet to be released, we’re told the room should hold up to 20 guests. There’ll be experts on hand and live video access to vineyards and winemakers from around the world.
The Fine Wines Room is where you’ll find the sensory aroma tables, complete with glass bell jars and copper trumpets. Guests can smell flowers, coffee beans, plants and fruits to get a sense of the flavours found in wine, before perhaps purchasing a bottle to remember the experience.
The Spirits Room and Champagne Room are also filled with a range of established brands and little-know producers.
