The Knightsbridge stalwart launched its pavilion suites this month marking the latest development in the
five-star hotel’s recent run of upgrades.
Most impressive is the Grand Pavilion Suite, whose living room – where you’ll find wool-covered chaise longues, marble coffee tables to bronze chandeliers – has glass walls on three sides. From there guests will have views out over Belgravia, while the fire pits on its sizeable terrace are a fun focal point in the evening.
The hotel has been steadily updating its offering since summer 2016, kicking things off with a new glass-roofed main entrance. Since then, the Collins Room (home to the popular Pret-a-Portea service), the Blue Bar and the Ballroom have all been given a thoroughly modern makeover.
The latter should be on your radar if ‘contemporary’ is high on the priority list: a ‘3D’ geometric ceiling, eucalyptus-wood panelling and clever lighting make it a worthy spot for high-end events. It’ll seat 250 and takes 600 for a standing reception.
