From pool-side entertainment to rooftop views, the West End has party-ready hotels in abundance. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites
Book for an address which holds serious clout
Synonymous with the idea of timeless glamour, Claridge’s is known for its legendary parties. The French Salon and Drawing Room are pretty but it’s the showy, art deco Ballroom that should be booked for blow outs. Its own entrance adds even more VIP status.
Book for fun and funky interiors
This design-driven hotel (think bold patterns and bright colours) is a perfect match for the Theatreland neighbourhood. We’re particularly fond of the idea of a party in its pool area, where you can hire synchronised swimmers for a splash of unusual entertainment.
Book for a classic London hotel with a twist
This iconic hotel has recently had a complete refurb, adding attractive art-deco design touches and playful ornaments to the mix. Drinks receptions are always better on a rooftop (are we right?), and this one has got some pretty epic views of Nelson’s Column.
Book for the best of both sides of the Channel
Traditional British design mixes with modern French elegance in both the bedrooms and the function spaces here. Intimate parties are best had in The Balcon’s private dining room for 20, where traditional French dishes reign supreme.
Book for location, location, location
Leicester Square is one of those London hotspots that never really goes to sleep, but inside the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire there’s a more refined atmosphere and plenty of bedrooms for guests to lay their head. Formal dinners in the Penthouse Suite come with views over the Eye and Big Ben.
