Is it already time to nail down the details for the annual conference? Check out some of favourite venues to kick-start your planning
USP The Johnson Roof Terrace
The refurbished Savoy Place offers increased capacity and cutting-edge tech. We like the Kelvin Lecture Theatre – with its original mahogany panelling – for presentations and product launches. Our favourite spaces are the Riverside Room and Maxwell Library, which have fine views over the Thames. Oh, and the Johnson Roof Terrace is great for post-conference drinks.
2. London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch
USP International gatherings
A hotel is often the best option if you’ve got guests travelling in from the UK and abroad. The London Marriott in Marble Arch is close to Paddington (and so in turn the Heathrow Express) and has 240 bedrooms on site. We’re big fans of the pillar-free Westmacott Suites for large events.
3.
RIBA Venues
USP Architectural beauty
It’s no surprise that the Royal Institute of British Architects is housed in a Grade II-listed building with stone carvings, etched glass and floor-to-ceiling windows. It makes for a striking setting for guests, plus it has all the conveniences of a modern venue to ensure your event runs smoothly.
4.
No.11 Cavendish Square
USP The light and modern Orangery
Boasting four floors of event space, this Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse is ideal for large conferences. The ground-floor Green House offers a verdant spot with a central champagne bar and AV kit for meetings. The venue’s standout space, though, is the light and modern Orangery, which is flanked by a tranquil courtyard garden. The hi-tech Burdett Theatre is the spot for important presentations.
USP Spot-on acoustics
The largest arts and conference venue in Europe, the Barbican wins us over every time with its tiered Barbican Hall and Barbican Theatre. Expect good sight lines and finely tuned acoustics. Plus you can use the adjoining foyers for registration and breakout spaces.
