Come Thursday 25 January, platters of haggis will be piped into City dining halls as Londoners partake in the annual celebration of Scottish poet Robert Burns.
For the rest of the year, those halls play host to events where only wood panelling and crested flags will do, from long-table banquets to candlelit receptions. We're particularly fond of Vintner's Hall, which is home to the capital's largest wine cellar, and Stationers' Hall, for its impressive stained glass windows.
