A city and the largest settlement in Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes is well known across the UK and the world for its distinctive roundabouts and iconic concrete cows, but there is so much more to it than just those well-known gems. A very vibrant and fairly modern city, Milton Keynes has a good blend of urban living with ample green spaces, which draw back to the picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside that was there before it became a city. Although Milton Keynes is a rather young city, it is a great one to visit, as the home to award-winning galleries and theatres, as well as plenty of historic sites like interesting medieval abbey ruins. There is much more to Milton Keynes, still, including worldwide famous marvels, such as Bletchley Park, the historic site that is synonymous with the World War II codebreakers.
