London is full of fantastic wedding venues, with a different style for every taste. For cool couples who are looking for a venue with an aesthetic edge, 100 Barrington is a must-see.
First up, there's the second-to-none location, snuggled in the heart of Brixton just minutes walk away from the station for handy transport links, as well as crowd favourites like Brixton Market and POP Brixton. Right in the heart of the action, 100 Barrington benefits from the colourful, creative atmosphere this part of town proudly boasts, making it a joyous spot to tie the knot.
The building itself was constructed in 1879 and started out life as a furniture factory. Back then, the architects couldn't have known that in modern-day London, warehouse buildings would be all the rage, and those high ceilings, rich-toned brick walls and arches have aged gorgeously. To call out some stand out features, though, we have to mention the 24-foot tall archway which not only looks incredible but pours light into the space - but more on that later.
Across the venue's 2,000 square feet, the space is broken up into two areas; one for dining and one for dancing! Long trestle tables look great in the dining room, which features exposed brick walls, wooden cladding and rustic beams overhead. A canopy of fairy lights makes the room twinkle, while tables can be dressed however you like and make for a great backdrop for some serious tablescaping.
Next, it's over to the central courtyard, where ceremonies can be held, or this space can simply be optimised for some outdoor drinks and a place to gather and chat. On the other side, you'll find the archway bar, a charasmatic room distinguished by a huge chandelier which looks incredible in the evening.
100 Barrington has its own in-house events team to help you pull off the day without a hitch, but they're also happy to share a list of party planners for you to take a look at if needed.
