Hot on the heels of its original site in Stoke Newington, which opened in 2016, Wolf now has a City sibling. Wolf II finds its home in a shipping container on Finsbury Square Avenue, with a seasonal Italian menu at its core. Early risers can enjoy an Italian twist on takeaway breakfast, with dishes including poached egg with Amalfi dressing, or the ‘porko dio’: a free-range sausage roll with parsley dressing. Lunchtime sees a big focus on freshly made pasta, including the likes of linguine cacio e pepe or wild boar pappardelle. Gunning for an all-day crowd, evenings at Wolf II welcome post-work drinks on the Broadgate piazza and a cicchetti menu to munch on, including a fritto misto platter of fried fish, meat and veg in a black garlic mayonnaise. To drink, there’s coffee and Italian-leaning cocktails.
