Shopping is hungry work, which is why; the selection of restaurants at a shopping centre is perhaps one of the most important elements. Thankfully at intu Metrocentre, you can visit Wagamama for a quick lunch in-between shopping, or alternatively, if you are all shopped out for the day.
Known best for its ramens, katsu curries and yaki soba noodle dishes, most people have their favourite dish that they stick to at Wagamama. However with so many exciting dishes on the menu, why not go for something like the yasai samla curry, tofu harusame salad with glass noodles or the seared nuoc cham tuna.
Visiting with the kids in tow? The kids menu is filled with mini versions of the adult dishes as well as slightly plainer options for the fussy ones. They can go for a milder version of a chicken ramen, mini chicken or yasai katsu and a scoop of ice cream or ice lolly to finish their meal. The menu also features fun activities to keep them occupied which means that you don’t have to.
To accompany your main dishes, why not go for a few sides that are great for sharing, but equally just as good for one person. Try the crispy chicken and sriracha hirata steamed buns, crispy fried chilli squid or keep things simple with edamame beans. Due to the laid back serving style Wagamama is known for, these dishes will appear as and when they are ready. This means that some days they may come as starters whereas other days they will be sides. You’ll just have to wait and see on the day.
Lastly on to desserts, which although Wagamama are not particularly well known for, are still worth giving a try. Merging together Asian ingredients and classic western desserts, you end up with the like of, white chocolate and, matcha cheesecake, banana katsu (for the katsu purists) and mango and matcha layer cake a great way to finish your Japanese feast.
