Ardallan Kitchen is a charming bistro housed within a beautifully converted Victorian Stable in Felling. With its modern decor and inviting atmosphere, this cosy and simple restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience, made all the more welcoming with its secluded courtyard, perfect for enjoying al fresco dining when the British weather allows.
The menu here caters to all tastes, featuring signature dishes like the traditional homity pie, and plenty of twists on more modern classics. The menu is crafted using some of the best locally sourced ingredients, so you can eat more consciously. If you’re visiting for food, you’ll also be presented with a selection of delicious teas, coffees, and tempting desserts. The kitchens are open between 10am and 3pm from Tuesday through to Saturday.
Brunch ready? Enjoy the in house granola made with maple glazed oats, coconut, apricots, seeds and nuts, served with Greek yoghurt and fruit compote. Other brunch dishes include the breakfast sandwich made with bourbon whiskey bacon jam, creamy avocado, confit tomatoes and fried eggs in a soft stottie bun, and the option to add two Charlotte's Butchery sausages. If you have a sweet tooth, try the buttery brioche scented with vanilla and cinnamon, served with berries and vanilla whipped cream, which sounds absolutely divine.
When it comes to lunch, the croque monsieur sandwich is made with tender flakes of ham shank, Emmental cheese and béchamel sauce, whilst the creamy whipped feta cheese comes atop toast with pomegranate seeds, walnuts and a pomegranate molasses. For something really different, try the spaghetti-ice for dessert — a dish which is made with Brymor vanilla ice cream that is extruded like spaghetti over whipped cream, before berry 'bolognese’ is placed on top and the dish is sprinkled with grated white chocolate ‘parmesan’.
