Set in a prime location in London’s West End, just south of Buckingham Palace and St James’ Park, Victoria Station is widely considered to be the gateway into central London. Today, it’s a major London terminus. However, until the early 20th century, Victoria functioned as two separate stations: the London Brighton and South Coast Railway and the London Chatham and Dover Railway. The former rivalry is still visible in the architecture of the building, one features an elaborate Edwardian Baroque red brick facade, and the other is finished in more austere Portland stone. More recently, the station has been upgraded with new entrances and step-free access to alleviate overcrowding.

The station and surrounding area highlight both London’s past and its more modern future. Restaurants in Victoria embody this unity. Many are housed in highly-regarded luxury hotels, others in hundred-year-old inns, and still more in the newly developed Nova district. Whether you’re planning a brunch, lunch, or dinner by Victoria Station, you’re bound to find somewhere on this list that can cater to your every whim, including some of London’s Michelin-starred restaurants.
