Celebrating the Lone Star state and all things American, this diner certainly looks the part – think red leather banquettes, shiny metal stools, old advertising signs and an emblematic steer’s skull on the wall. Ribs, wings and pulled pork are dry-rubbed and smoked over hickory wood for four hours, the house BBQ sauce is apparently made from 15 different ingredients, and the meat for the burgers comes from prime Hereford sirloin and chuck steak. The menu also cruises its way through sharing boards, sliders, Louisiana crab cakes and clam chowder, while big plates include home-style meatloaf and blackened sea bass with prawn jambalaya. Brunch features everything from Nutella French toast to steak and eggs, and there are special deals for ‘the little league’. Shakes, floats, sodas, craft beers and hard liquor are all there for the taking.
