Bosa is a Lebanese restaurant that is proud to be making waves in Southfields. This family run kitchen brings traditional middle eastern cuisine to the table. Open every day of the week, this restaurant has become a very popular choice with those looking for a delicious meal in the area. The vibe inside is sophisticated yet friendly, and food is served at a reasonable price.
The restaurant is also able to cater for private events, casual brunches and canape receptions. Sam, behind Bosa, comes from a big family with 11 siblings. He remembers feeling like his Mum was cooking a feast for the family every day, and has fond memories of picking organic fruit and vegetables with his Dad. When he was 17, Sam moved to London and began his studies before partnering up with his mentor and opening a restaurant in Dubai. Since then, he has gone on to do even more incredible things, like open Bosa.
If you fancy visiting the restaurant for breakfast, you can enjoy some classic shakshuka with free range eggs that are poached in a sauce of chopped tomatoes, chilli peppers, onion and garlic, garnished with parsley and served with bread, or a dish of mufaraka or awarma. Cold mezze dishes include warak inab b'zeit vine leaves filled with rice, tomato, parsley, mint and onion, cooked in lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. The makdous are baby aubergines that are pickled and stuffed with walnuts, spices and garlic. If something light like a salad is more your thing, order the king prawn salad with avocado. For something hot, order a mezze of spinach samboska pastry bites filled with spinach, onion, pine kernels, sumac and lemon juice, or the Bosa mix of meat dippers that contains lamb samboska, kibbeh, chicken and calamari.
