Tyneside Bar Café is a fully licensed café located in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne within Tyneside Cinema, the city’s only full-time independent cultural cinema and the UK’s last remaining newsreel theatre still operating as a cinema. Tyneside Bar Café serves a range of delicious food made fresh to order from the finest local ingredients. Alongside a Brunch and Evening menu and a wide selection of fine ales, wines, soft drinks and ‘damn fine’ County Durham coffee, the Bar Café has a children's menu and an ever-changing specials board. You'll also find a range of bar snacks and a programme of films and live entertainment to enjoy, from regular events featuring film screenings on the Bar Café’s big screen to fine dining experiences such as a five-course monthly Supper Club. All profits made by Tyneside Bar Café are donated to support the work of Tyneside Cinema, helping to ensure that this historic building and its film, arts, learning and participation programmes will be enjoyed by generations of North Easterners to come.
