About

Located just off Chelsea’s Sloane Square, the Saatchi Gallery is predominantly known for being home to one of the finest collections of contemporary art in London. However, it’s also home to Searcys’ Saatchi Gallery Bar & Brasserie, which is well worth visiting in its own right. Serving a menu packed full of British classics alongside everything from champagne to sustainably sourced coffee, the bar and brasserie is open all day long. So whether you just want a quick break from perusing the art collection, or a lazy three-course lunch, Searcy’s Saatchi Gallery Bar & Brasserie has you covered.

Sitting on the ground floor of the renowned gallery, the spacious restaurant boasts high ceilings and large windows, allowing light to flood in from Duke of York’s Square outside. On top of this, an open-air terrace area allows for al fresco dining during the summer.

When it comes to the menu, expect seasonal dishes focused on using sustainable produce. Starters might include confit chicken and pistachio terrine with piccalilli, or pea and sorrel soup. Crowd-pleasing main courses range from Freedom pale ale-battered haddock served with minted peas, tartare sauce and fries, to an aged Hereford beef burger with cheese and bacon. There are also tempting puddings on offer such as Valhrona chocolate tart with salted peanut ice-cream.

Drinks-wise, the wine list has a particular focus on Champagne and sparkling wine, with a number of Grand Marques available, as well as Searcys’ own cuvée.

On top of all this, Searcys has also partnered with famous British potters Wedgewood to offer a luxurious Chelsea Afternoon Tea at the bar and brasserie, available Wednesday to Sunday. Served on stunning tea ware from Wedgewood’s Wanderlust collection, the afternoon tea includes everything from smoked salmon mousse, to classic cucumber sandwiches, and pastries such as Black Forest cheesecake.

Searcys’ Saatchi Gallery Bar & Brasserie’s varied menu and relaxed ambience make it an ideal spot to visit in Chelsea regardless of the occasion.
