The New Yard Restaurant, Helston, Cornwall, sits in a beautiful rural setting amidst the Trelowarren Estate. The pretty walled garden and courtyard offer plenty of space to enjoy the daily changing set menu with seating both indoors and outside.
The New Yard holds a Michelin green star which awards restaurants for the exceptional commitment to sustainable practices. Many ingredients are home grown, or locally, responsibly sourced.
Your dining experience will begin at 6.30pm, where you will be greeted with an arrival drink in the courtyard. Here you can enjoy the pretty walled garden and scenery. Supper is served at 7pm and will last approximately 3 hours. You will be served a seven course tasting menu, food is largely foraged on the estate, locally sourced or home-grown.
The exquisite menu changes on a daily basis, however an example of the dishes served include wild flour sourdough, with a cultured butter, asparagus vichyssoise with crème fraiche and pickle, and beef sirloin served with carrot and lovage. Desserts include dishes such as frozen marshmallow, baba au rhum, and a selection of local cheeses.
You can also choose to have accompanying wines served with each dish, carefully paired to complement your meal.
The New Yard pantry and shop is also on site, here you can find local treats such as Trelowarren Cider, as well as gift vouchers for the restaurant.
The New Yard menu is £75.00 per person which includes seven courses and a welcome drink. You can also add accompanying wines to your meal for an additional charge.
