This newcomer from former Dean Street Townhouse chef Radek Nitkowski latches on to current dining trends with its ethically-sourced and alcohol-free offering. The Great Chase serves up booze-free concoctions including a Tayberry Spritz, which mixes rose cordial, alcohol-free sparkling rosé, black pepper and a lavender vinegar mist. It is also big on teas, with a wide-ranging selection featuring Sri Lankan lemongrass and Cornish peppermint varieties. Meanwhile, the food menu is split between snacks and small and large plates, adding modern twists to classic dishes – think buttermilk chicken with pickled watermelon and seaweed, and a burger served with beef brisket and smoked cheddar. Weekend brunch is available too, with dishes including tiger prawn shakshuka, with baked eggs, sumac, coriander and buckwheat, and mushrooms with sweet potato gnocchi and hazelnuts.
