Ideally located just a short walk from Angel and Farringdon stations, Bocas offers a taste of Argentina to Clerkenwell with its small plates, grills and wine list, each one designed for sharing.
This dark and moody space consists of both a restaurant upstairs and a jazz bar downstairs, where guests can work their way through an impressive list of cocktails, which vary between signature and classic options, including drinks such as a lychee martini. The drinks menu has been carefully curated to put together something that could be found at all of the finest drinking establishments in Argentina. If cocktails aren’t your thing, then the wine selection also offers a combination of options from the region, and Bocas even does it’s own beer.
The food menu consists of various Argentinian tapas plates, that offer anything from small snacks to desserts. Expect to see options such as olives that have been given a homemade marinade and are a staple for the start of any meal, chicken quesadillas with chipotle sauce, patatas bravas with a twist, and empanadas with a selection of fillings. Then for meat heavy options, you’ll also find things like steak, grilled chorizo and premium sweatbreads that are served with rocksalt and lemon.. For something a little sweeter, the menu consists of Argentian classics like churros and Argentian crepes with Dulce de leche.
If you’re looking to continue (or start) your night at the jazz bar downstairs, then you can enjoy a variety of live music performances that change throughout the week and offer an electric atmosphere throughout the evening. Expect to hear from live saxophinists, singers, and some well respected bands. Whether you’re out for a celebration with friends, or a romantic date night, Bocas offers the perfect space to unwind and get swept up in the moment.
