The Carriage is a superfood pub near Jesmond station, offering the people of Newcastle a relaxed, welcoming place to enjoy some tasty plant based favourites without frills.
The small plates include salt and chilli chips with fresh coriander, chillies, spring onions and peppers, delicious mac and cheeze with crispy onions and cajun skins with a sriracha mayo dip. Mains include the jack shawarma with Lebanese kebab style jackfruit on a freshly baked flatbread with house salad, quinoa, pickled red cabbage, hot harissa and garlic mayo and a vegan fish and chips, made using seaside style marinated tofu with seaweed and beer batter, crushed sweet peas and a homemade tartare sauce. Vegan kiddies are welcome and well catered for, with bangers, chips and beans, a mini mezze board and mini falafel with ruby salsa and hummus.
