The Bricklayers Arms, Sevenoaks, is a pretty, traditional village pub enjoying lake-views from their large and inviting beer garden. The pub is located at the end of the Darent Valley Walk and is the perfect place to settle down for a home-cooked British pub meal.
The Bricklayers Arms has an open fire which is perfect for the Winter months, as well as a large spacious beer garden which enjoys lovely countryside and lake views. It is a family orientated pub, with a traditional British menu featuring lots of favourites such as soup of the day served with crusty baguette, chicken liver pate with toast, and smoked salmon served with capers, bread and butter.
Main courses are equally as comforting with plenty of filling dishes such as beer battered fish and chips served with garden peas and homemade tartare sauce, pie of the day served with creamy mash, and steak served with fries and pepper sauce.
There is also a three-cheese ploughman’s, and several meat free dishes such as wild mushroom risotto, roasted peppers and a stuffed mushroom served with bubble and squeak. The menu also includes lots of smaller plates, sandwiches and baguettes.
When it comes to desserts you will find lots of comforting classics such as bread pudding served with custard, chocolate brownie served with chocolate sauce and ice cream, and sticky toffee pudding. There is also a cheeseboard for two.
The pub has a good selection of beers and spirits, as well as a large wine list, tea and coffee.
The Bricklayers Arms sources many ingredients from local suppliers including Cottage Farm meat, Cherry Ripe veg, Leo the baker, and Chapmans of Sevenoaks fish. The pub also has its own allotment where they grow lots of their own produce.
