Situated within two acres of lush greenery, the Bromley Court Hotel is a lovely place to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or long overdue get-togethers. One such way to do this is with an elegant afternoon tea, which the restaurant has its own take on. Starting with sandwiches, the afternoon tea menu serves up mature Cheddar cheese and chutney, egg mayonnaise with chopped shallots and coronation chicken. Alongside scones, desserts consist of a raspberry mousse, vanilla and chocolate puffs, mini carrot cake and a lemon macaroon. This can all be served with tea, Prosecco or even a gin and tonic, for those who prefer something crisper.
Alternatively, diners are invited to choose something from the lunch menu with main dishes such as chicken katsu, fish and chips, mac and cheese or grilled seabass. Dinner offers more choice still, with examples from the evening sitting including ham hock terrine or beetroot falafel to start, before moving on to slow-cooked duck leg with mash potato and red cabbage, or garlic, thyme and butter pork chops with fries as the larger plates. Pasta dishes are also available; we like the sound of the prawn tagliatelle with garlic, chilli and cream, or you could go for something lighter, like the Caeser salad.
Sunday roasts are a big thing around here, and each weekend the team works hard to put on a delectable spread. Choose between 28-day sirloin, roasted pork loin or corn fed chicken, all served with duck fat roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables and Yorkshire puddings.
