Tandem is an Indian restaurant and cocktail bar in Leicester, where you can enjoy the most exquisite dining, and rich heritage meets artistic expression. The menu has been designed to reflect the true flavours of India, and offer diners a sensory experience that enriches the body, mind and soul. The restaurant is set over two floors, and decorated with vibrant colours and beautiful features.
First of all, enjoy a round of poppadoms with a tray of pickles, chutneys and flick through the menu – there’s plenty to choose from. The Tandem fusion starters include Indo-Chinese style chicken pieces, garlic chilli paneer and succulent prawns. The gunpowder chicken is a great starter, which is spicy crispy chicken tossed in a special dry spice mixture, with curry leaves and chilli garlic mayo, along with the tandoori lamb chops served with fresh mint chutney. Other starters include the new potatoes tossed and fried with honey, chillies and a blend of spices, along with the crisp white lentil and rice pancakes filled with turmeric spiced potato, and served with coconut chutney.
For your main, enjoy a dish of malai kofta which is a mild and sweet dish of soft cheese with potato and paneer dumplings, braised in a cashew nut, tomato and cardamom flavoured sauce, along with a saag of spinach cooked with cumin, garlic and onion masala, finished with fresh cream. Of course, all the classics are on the menu – from a lamb Rogan Josh and Goan prawn curry to the butter chicken and sweet and mild murgh malai korma. If you enjoy a tandoor dish, enjoy the signature biryani which is a mouthwatering mix of seafood, lamb, chicken and prawn, with delicious biryani spices, and a plate big enough for two to share
