The staff are very nice here but otherwise I was disappointed. Wasabi - powdered not fresh. Yuzu - out of a bottle. Shoyu - low grade. Level of tidiness at counter - exremely poor. Unagi - popped in the microwave below the counter - you can hear the ping. Sake - 75 pounds for an average bottle brought out and left on the counter, no ice, no pouring, no explanation. Admittedly they were very busy this night and to the chef's credit he did his best. But the level of expertise was not enough to execute what is needed. The omakase pricing would be attractive if the standard was high, but still unfortunately it was not. My colleague commented that it seemed greasy, the hamachi in particular did not seem so fresh, and the turbot..badly executed
Sorry I had been here on many occasions in the past and remember a different experience, probably helped by a more experienced chef leading things....That said place was packed...So maybe I got the off day
