Situated on The Digey, one of St Ives' most famous and beautiful streets, Source Kitchen is a popular modern restaurant, which is open from breakfast all the way through to dinner time. Serving a menu that's all about championing British produce and using ingredients that are in season at the time, it's a popular spot among locals and tourists alike. Source Kitchen's chilled out ambience also means that it's well suited to a whole host of different occasions, whether you want to pop in for a slice of cake and a cup of locally hand roasted coffee, or fancy going all out on a hearty dinner with cocktails to boot.
Set back off the cobbles, Source Kitchen has space for a couple of tables out front, which can be used during the summer, while a large, curved window allows plenty of light to come flooding in from outside. The space has been simply decorated in pale colours to keep it feeling light and airy, and features wooden floors and simple furniture spaced out around the room. Up at the bar area are a few bar stools allowing for counter dining as well.
Source Kitchen's menus, which change regularly, vary depending on what time of day you visit. Come at breakfast for classic dishes such as porridge or a full Cornish breakfast, complete with a homemade potato rosti, while lunch sees light bites like a local crab sandwich take centre stage. When it comes to the dinner menu, you can expect sharing plates ranging from burrata with peas and lemon and roasted Cornish potatoes with aioli to shell-on garlic and chilli prawns and pork cheeks with celeriac puree.
In terms of drinks at Source Kitchen, there's everything from classic cocktails to locally brewed lagers, while the short list contains plenty of options both by the glass and bottle.
