Smoke & Sear in Newcastle is ready and waiting to impress you with its live fire cooking. Bookings and walk-ins are welcome for brunch and lunch, all seven days of the week.
The menu here changes depending on what's in season, but no matter when you visit, there is always something special on the menu. The wakey wakey eggs and bakey breakfast dish is a special of sweet and sticky streaky bacon, fried bread dippers and breadcrumbed eggs that are boiled to perfection. If you're more in the market for sweet treats, try the bobby razzler croffle that is loaded with meringue, coulis and fresh berries. Hash browns and the cinnamon French toast are other menu hits, with the latter being smothered in poached cherries, orange creme diplomat, candied hazelnuts and shaved dark chocolate. The pistachioffle is a bit of a mouthful to pronounce but is a total beauty, covered in pistachio sauce, ice cream, crushed nuts and drizzles of chocolate.
