About

Six is a sleek and modern restaurant in Newcastle serving refined British bistro dishes with a contemporary twist. All its menus revolve around sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients and change seasonally to ensure the best possible produce and flavour. It's also located high up on BALTIC’s rooftop in the city’s vibrant quayside, where it offers jaw-dropping panoramic views of Newcastle and beyond. So, if you’re after dinner with a view or a stunning spot to catch up over a drink with a friend, Six is just the ticket.

Open all-day from Wednesday to Sunday, Six offers a wealth of menus suited to multiple dining occasions, from brunch to lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Its a la carte offering revolves around classic ideas presented with a fresh spin, from salmon tartare with capers, shallots, salad cream and sourdough, to lamb carpaccio with pecorino, sea herbs and green sauce.

For main course, look out for the likes of chicken supreme with parmesan freekeh risotto and asparagus, and sous vide ribeye of beef with Marmite butter, chips and bearnaise sauce. While desserts are similarly indulgent and range from peanut butter caramel and chocolate brownie to sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce.

It also serves a killer brunch menu that spans light options, egg classics and vegan twists. While afternoon tea is served from Friday to Sunday, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives available.

Six is a light, bright and spacious dining room with panoramic glass windows to allow guests to soak up those epic views. There’s a bar at one end of the room serving up a range of wine, cocktails, beer and cider, spirits and soft drinks, and guests are very welcome to nip in for a drink at any time without making a booking.
