Sapori is an Italian restaurant that is run by a family, consisting of Andrea, Luigi and Cristina. If you're looking for a modern and fine take on Italian dining, Sapori is the place to be. Here, you can enjoy handcrafted and delicious pasta, a great selection of breads, and of course, incredible desserts. The restaurant's head chef, Andrea Scarpati, is from Torre del Greco in Italy and has been nominated as the only ambassador in the UK from the Italian Association of Ambsaciatori del Gusto.
The tasting menu begins with Sapori's snacks, before a dish of grilled quail amatriciana with crispy guanciale, fresh tomato, pecorino gel and chilli, and homemade cappellacci pasta filled with smoked butternut squash, butter, sage, chestnuts and taleggio sauce. Next up, it's a plate of monkfish with broccoli, caramelised tomatoes, pea puree, maitake and basil emulsion, before the last savoury course of a loin of venison with a potato and parmesan terrine served with green pepper jus, spinach and king oyster mushrooms. Then, you'll be served Ferdi's bramley apple and custard, before a 46% Bahibe chocolate mousse and hazelnuts praline, hazelnut gelato and orange blossom cremeux. Last but not least is the course named Final Cuddles.
There's an a la carte menu to order from if a set selection isn't your thing, including starters of crispy saffron risotto with wild mushrooms, artichoke and pickled onions, and pasta dishes of large ring pasta from Gragnano with Palourde clams, mussels, courgette and basil. The main menu also features a selection of meat and fish favourites, such as four ways pork with a parsnip puree and sherry jus. The pudding menu includes a spiced creme brulee with sticky toffee sponge and pear and ginger sorbet, along with a cheesecake topped with mango confit and Prosecco and mango sorbet.
