Revolucion de Cuba is a bar and restaurant group that celebrates Cuban, and broad Latin American food and drink, as well as celebrating the culture of Central and South America with rum cocktails, live entertainment and tapas-style food. Originally founded in Ashton-under-Lyne, Revolucion de Cuba now has sites all over the UK, including this one in the heart of Newcastle city centre - you’ll find Revolucion de Cuba Newcastle just a short walk from the station and the castle.
Revolucion de Cuba Newcastle is a large site, complete with extensive bar, dining room and outdoor terrace. The dining room is bright and lively with furnishings of various colours and patterned floor tiles that are reminiscent of Central and South America. The terrace is much more patio-like, with rattan chairs matching simple wooden tables and painted murals on the walls adding some colour.
The menu is broken down into bar snacks, sharers and tapas-style dishes, with food largely designed to be shared among a group. You can expect classic dishes like empanadas, tacos, croquetas, quesadillas, fajitas and more, as Revolucion de Cuba takes a broad approach to the melting pot flavours of Latin America. As well as the main menu, Revolucion de Cuba also offers menus for afternoon tea, brunch, and fiesta menus for large groups.
Drinks are just as important at Revolucion de Cuba, and the bar mixes up a range of unique house cocktails as well as classics like daiquiris, mojitos, and of course, Cuba Libres. On top of that, in-house bartenders mix up an extensive selection of rum cocktails, and exotic tiki bar cocktails, using a wide variety of rums from all over the world.
