Restaurant at Hotel Meudon

At The Restaurant at Hotel Meudon in Falmouth the history and setting of venue is at the heart of all of their operations. Ingredients sourced from the land and sea of Cornwall inform Head Chef David Walter’s menu of simply made and elevated dishes inspired by the ‘new cuisine of the 1960s.Both guests at the hotel and those not staying there are welcome to dine with them. 

The restaurant boasts elegant interiors with panoramic wrap around windows that immerse the dining room in the greenery of the Hotel’s ground and flood the space with light. Burgundy pendant lighting and furniture give the space and moody and luxurious feel and plants dotted between table bring the beautiful view indoors. 

The menu at the Restaurant at Hotel Meudon Cornwall showcases the best fresh fish and seafood Cornwall has to offer and is accompanied by ingredients that often foraged from the Hotel’s surroundings by the kitchen team. This leads to incredible dishes like ray wing with brown butter, capers, parsley and lemon and light and zingy cured salmon garnished with ginger dressing and pickled fennel as a starter. On summery Sundays it's all about their barbecue menu where freshly caught seafood and locally sourced meats are grilled outdoors in the stunning garden and with simple sides of potato salad, tomatoes and fries. On the weekends afternoon tea is served and this, of course, spotlight local produce with Cornish clotted cream and Cornish pork in their sausage rolls. In addition, all of their menus also feature vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. 

The wine list is influenced by the hotel’s historic and expertly curated collection. These are available to order by the glass and feature bottles from across the world. Guests can also sample a range of champagnes and sparkling wine including a Cornish bottle produced by Camel Valley in Bodmin.
