The Rock Oyster Festival returns for another year in 2024, uniting foodies from all across the UK over the course of three days in sunny Cornwall, from Friday 25 July to Sunday 28 July.
If you’re an oyster obsessive, that’s as good a reason as any to make the pilgrimage to the south west and feast on some delicious bivalve molluscs. There's plenty more to see, though, from headline music acts to cooking demonstrations, art classes, comedy shows and a host of rejuvenating wellbeing activities.
Where is Rock Oyster Festival 2024 taking place?
Rock Oyster Festival will be taking place at Dinham House in North Cornwall, just ten minutes from the coastal village of Rock. Rock and nearby Porthilly are home to some of the very best oysters and seafood in the UK, and you can expect to feast on plenty of delicious food courtesy of the stacked line up of chefs taking part at this year’s festival.
This year the festival will be running shuttle buses along various routes, making it easier than ever to get to the festival site. Buses will be running from nearby Rock (via Polzeath, Daymer Lane and Trewint) or from Wadebridge.
What can you expect at Rock Oyster Festival 2024?
Great food, for sure. A huge list of top chefs will be cooking over the course of the weekend, serving up their signature dishes. Leading the way on each day are headliners Nathan Outlaw (of Outlaw's New Road and Outlaw's Fish Kitchen), Tom Brown (or Cornerstone and Pearly Queen) and Matt Tebbutt (host of BBC's Saturday Kitchen) who will be hosting live cooking demonstrations. You can also expect the festival’s beloved Chef Tipis to return for another year, where chefs cook up their favourite dishes at very reasonable prices. This year’s Chef Tipi hosts are Pearly Queen x Cornerstone, where headliner Tom Brown will be serving up his wildly popular buffalo oysters, Freddy and Nessa Bird from Bristol’s littlefrench, and The Atlantic featuring Grant Goodson and Ranger’s Oyster Bar.

If seafood isn't your thing, fear not - there’s so much more at Rock Oyster Festival that’s worth the price of entry. On the music front, Rock Oyster Fest has a history of booking some huge acts and 2024 is no different; synth pop icons The Human League are headlining the Friday, whilst Sugababes and Bombay Bicycle Club top the bill on Saturday and Sunday respectively. With Newton Faulkner, Norman Jay MBE, Arrested Development and Eva Lazarus also coming to Rock for 2024, there's something for everyone on this year's music bill.
Elsewhere, there’s a mass of family activities to get stuck into with the kids, ranging from puppetry workshops to art classes, magic poetry and ukulele singalongs. Watersports are another big part of Rock Oyster Fest, and you can sign up for surf coaching, sea kayaking, even coasteering expeditions. Or, just book yourself in for a little TLC at a sound bath, aerial yoga or meditation session - Rock has a stacked schedule of wellness activities to look into as well.
Adults tickets start at £64.50 for day entry, or £169 for a weekend camping ticket. Interested? Click here to book your tickets for Rock Oyster Festival 2024.
