Hand & Flowers launches boutique Sparkling English Wine

Two Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers has collaborated with family-owned, Hampshire based winery Hattingley Valley to produce a limited-edition brut non-vintage English sparkling wine that's designed to pair wonderfully with food.

Expect zippy orchard fruits balanced with nougat and buttered toast, which testifies to the lengthy lees ageing. Naturally rich, with a complex finish and hints of honey and nuts stemming from the 10-year-old bottle aged Chardonnay, it pairs superbly with a wide variety of dishes, from fish and chips to caramelised beef.

The Hand & Flowers by Hattingley is available at £104 per bottle and £17.50 per glass across the Tom Kerridge estate including The Hand & Flowers and neighbours The Coach (one Michelin-starred pub) and The Butcher’s Tap & Grill, as well as Kerridge’s Bar & Grill in London.

The Hand & Flowers is a strong supporter of English sparkling wine so, they feel, to produce their own is a natural progression – head chef Tom De Keyser (recently voted Chef of the Year in the Top50Gastropub Awards) and wine buyer Gavin Hills were both involved with the wine's creation.  This initiative can only further strengthen the growing reputation of English sparkling wines as some of the best in the world.
