Brand new signature bottle shape for the Ayala range

Champagne Ayala have released their main range of wines in a brand new bottle shape inspired by the iconic La Perle bottle, that was launched in 1995. Besides looking beautiful – reflecting the finesse and elegance of the wine – the new bottle’s wider neck and shoulders optimises the lees contact allowing the wine to develop in the bottle perfectly.

The new high precision blend is made predominantly from Chardonnay, which has increased from 45% to 55%. It also has a greater diversity of crus: more than 70 crus, 50 of which are Chardonnay.

For the Brut Majeur, micro-vinification of these 70 crus takes place in 120 stainless steel vats is made up of a blend of crus from the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 vintages. Made from 55% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier, the current blend has 43% reserve wines and a dosage of 6g sugar per litre.  You can now get all of this information on the back label, allowing you to develop your own knowledge and impress your friends.

This new design has been incorporated into the new bottles and gift packs for Brut Majeur, Rosé Majeur and Brut Nature.

And for those who insist of greater corporate responsibility, the house is proud of its current 18 CSR projects, including converting AYALA’s vineyards to organic viticulture and sustainable packaging. Both the bottles and gift boxes are 100% recyclable and the raw materials (excluding corks) originate from France, all within a 220-mile radius of the house.

“The launch of Brut Majeur in AYALA’s signature bottle shape reflects the Maison’s chief ambition” says MD Hadrien Mouflard. “To embody what expertise and excellence can achieve when producing Chardonnay in Champagne.”
