Boosting the nightlife at the quieter, cheaper end of Kensington High Street, this new mega sky-lounge occupies the top floor of the Olympia Exhibition Centre’s car park (now covered-in and heated). It opened in autumn 2018, sister venue to Pergola Paddington, and features panoramic views – although, admittedly, north-west London’s ’burbs aren’t the most spectacular of prospects. Inside, faux foliage, rustic furniture, oversized party booths and a ginormous bar hold the attention – as do three kitchens run by a trio of street-food vendors, providing enough to feed 500-plus guests.
Tuck-in to crab and lobster rolls (Claw), big beefy burgers (Patty & Bun) or sloppy-topped thins from Shoreditch pizza slingers Passo. To drink, choose from cocktails (Pornstar Martini, Aperol Spritz and Mojito on tap; freshly made Rhubarb Bellini and Duppy Share rum Jamaican Mule) or wine from a list that starts with inexpensive Galician house bottles and motors up to Dom P.
