Accessible via bike, car or even boat (how many pubs can say that?), The Pandora Inn is a gem of a gastropub found in a spectacular setting on the edge of Restronguet Creek. With parts of the inn dating back to the 13th century, you might feel like you have taken a step back in time, especially when you take in the cosy interiors - think flagstone floors, low-beam ceilings and a thatched roof.
While the interiors might reflect the days of old though, everything else about The Pandora Inn is firmly planted in the 21st century, including its wide-ranging all-day menu of modern pub grub. Proceedings kick off from breakfast time, when you can enjoy the likes of a full English, baked to order pastries or even a vegan breakfast wrap (we told you the menu was modern). From noon, the all-day offering is available, which is replete with pub classics - think soup of the day, beer-battered fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce, and a homemade beef burger topped with bacon and accompanied by a helping of thick cut chips.
Once you have polished off your main courses, you can move on to The Pandora Inn’s tempting selection of puddings, which includes strawberry cheesecake and Eton mess drizzled with toffee sauce, while those who prefer savoury delights can opt for the cheeseboard with chutney and crostinis. If you have the family in tow, The Pandora Inn also offers a kid’s menu for under 12s, featuring the likes of pasta in tomato sauce served alongside garlic bread and breaded chicken goujons paired with chips and a homemade barbecue sauce.
On sunny days, head outside to the spacious Pandora Pontoon for alfresco drinks and dining, while during the colder months you can snuggle up beside one of the venue’s roaring fires.
