Just a stone's throw from St. Ives Bay right at the beating heart of the seaside town, One Fish Street is an intimate fine dining restaurant, which takes its inspiration from the UK's many artisan growers and producers. Offering a tasting menu which changes every day depending on what fish is landed that very morning, the restaurant aims to keep prices reasonable by adapting based on availability. This means that every experience here is completely different. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simple want to try some of the finest Cornish produce around, you can be sure you'll leave One Fish Street with a smile on your face and a belly full of delicious food.
Sitting one floor up from street level, One Fish Street is incredibly discreet on passing with a fish symbol above a green door the only clue to what's inside. Head up the stairs and you'll immediately discover the stylish dining room which has been simply decorated with elegant furniture to allow the food to be the focus. Large windows allow the evening sunlight to come flooding in and also provide diners with breath-taking views of the bay.
The tasting menu at One Fish Street consists of eight courses, with portions kept small so that you don't fill up too quickly. Dishes on the menu take influence from all over the world and include everything from chalk stream trout nigiri with Dorset wasabi and a ponzu glaze to hand dived Orkney scallop with rare breed pork, celeriac, winter truffle and hazelnut. Sweet courses might include a chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream and popping candy, and a macaron to finish.
One Fish Street's wine list is largely focused around natural and bio-dynamic wines from small producers, and you can actually opt for a drinks pairing with the tasting menu if you wish.
