North Greenwich hugs the curving Thames River on three sides. An animated transport hub, the Greenwich foot tunnel connects the peninsula to the nearby Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf, north of the river, and the iconic and one-of-a-kind cable car links to the Royal Docks. Uber boats can also whizz passengers along the Thames, and the handy Jubilee line allows for easy access to and from Central London.

Other than eateries, North Greenwich boasts many diverse attractions, for all the family. The legendary O2 Arena (once the Millennium Dome) hosts enough activities to keep you busy the whole day, such as the Icon shopping outlet, while daredevils can ascend the infamous white tent for sweeping views of Greenwich. You can also wander London’s first-ever elevated riverside linear park, The Tide, and meander along The Line, a cultural walking trail, showcasing art installations, murals, and sculptures from the likes of Damien Hirst. The stylish Design District and contemporary NOW gallery host even more feasts for the eyes.

History buffs can remark at the closeby Cutty Sark, a renowned, historic sailing ship which now stands as a popular attraction, or explore Greenwich park and the Old Royal Naval College, which boasts the legendary Painted Hall. Visitors can also stand on the Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory and take in a piece of history. There is no doubt there is something for everyone in this UNESCO World Heritage site, from Greenwich market to the National Maritime Museum. There is even the world’s first selfie factory!

But if it’s food you want to explore, there's plenty to dig your teeth into. Greenwich is a cosmopolitan and open-minded area, and this is reflected in its diverse array of international flavours and global cuisines. Just use our toggles on the left to help guide your search.
