About

The Townhouse Bar & No. 59 Restaurant is ready and waiting to offer a warm greeting as you enter Morpeth’s bustling high street. The original, charismatic three-storey building, which dates back to the mid-1800s, stands proudly just over Telford Bridge on the River Wansbeck – a grand feature of the historic market town.

Open for food and drink from Wednesday to Sunday, The Townhouse is the perfect place for a coffee, a light lunch, a drink with friends or a fine dining experience.

By day, The Townhouse ground floor is the ideal rendezvous spot for coffee, or a bite to eat during your break from shopping. Come evening, it’s a place to relax, unwind and enjoy a tall gin or celebratory glass of prosecco to a finger clicking soundtrack of vintage soul, sophisticated disco and new groove.

Whether you enjoy classic cocktails, kraft ales, ice cold beers or home grown spirits your tastes are well and truly catered for – in addition to a handpicked selection of the very best wines from around the world.
