Set up by the people behind The Suffolk Kitchen a few doors along a quiet street off Cheltenham’s main drag, Moka has been serving the locals for over 15 years. Family-run and independent, this busy coffee house has built up a loyal local following – thanks largely to its dedication to its high-quality, single-origin coffee sourced from Bristol-based roasters Extract. The interior comprises two high-ceilinged rooms with original Victorian features and walls decorated with a motley collection of vintage mirrors, art and hessian coffee sacks, which can be purchased by customers. A large selection of freshly baked pastries and cakes is supplemented by light lunches of soups, bruschette and specials along the lines of chicken, red pesto, rocket and parmesan salad or toasties packed with Gloucester Old Spot bacon, Cheddar and homemade chutney.
