Found in the heart of Aberdeen, Milton on the Corner is the latest acquisition from Jay Emmerson and the team behind Milton Brasserie and Milton's Little Kitchen in Deeside. It's a favourite of the local community (and those further afield) and is already well known and dearly loved. This beautiful building may be recognisable to you, well that's because Milton on the Corner is located in the old Bank of Scotland building in Rosemount, a building that has so much character and history, making a great home for an excellent restaurant in the West End of Aberdeen.
There are a few different spaces in Milton on the Corner, from the marble topped bar with a selection of beers and wines, the main restaurant that has stylish surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere for all, along with Nate's Snug which is an intimate private dining room with a fireplace, and Ethan's Gallery, another private space that is more bright and spacious.
The menus here change seasonally as the produce, which is mostly sourced from local suppliers, and so the dishes reflect what is most readily available. Start your meal off with some nibbles of olives and feta, along with walnut pesto, olive tapenade and hummus.
Between 12 and 3pm, sandwiches are available and served with house slaw and chips, with the option to upgrade your chips and add on soup. The main menu has small plates, a bit like starters, that include a roast beetroot and feta tartlet, along with haggis bon bons, a pear and apple chutney and some rocket. For your main course, try the North Sea battered haddock and chips with peas, tartare sauce and lemon, or the duck breast served with black pudding pomme anna, roasted beetroot puree and plum jus.
