Jay Emmerson and his team acquired this wonderful space a few years ago, and since, Milton on the Corner has joined the already well established Milton family – including Milton Brasserie and Milton’s Little Kitchen. Housed in the stunning old Bank of Scotland building, Milton on the Corner has some real old worldly charm about it, making it a great home for excellent private dining in the West End of Aberdeen. If you’re looking to host a dinner in this part of the city, you should consider Milton on the Corner, where not only is the food delicious, but the interiors and general feel offer something a bit more luxurious than your everyday restaurant or pub.
There are two spaces for private dining at Milton on the Corner. You can choose from Nate's Snug which has room for up to eight people, and is housed in the back of the restaurant, acting as an intimate area with its own fireplace and chalet inspired decor. Contrasting Nate's Snug is Ethan's Gallery, a slightly bigger space accommodating an extra four people, and tucked away to one side of the main restaurant. Here, you'll find that the space is bright and airy, with luxe red velvet seating and warm lighting overhead.
On the menu there are plenty of wonderful dishes to choose from. You'll find nibbles for the whole table of hummus with flatbreads, along with platters that are perfect for sharing. The fisherman's platter comes with garlic langoustine tails, hot and cold smoked Scottish salmon, anchovies, Aberdeen smoked haddock pate, battered haddock goujons, pickled vegetables, bread, oatcakes and tartare sauce. On the main menu there are options of chicken, duck, monkfish, steak, haddock, mac and cheese, linguine, burgers and more.
