Milton on the Corner was established back in 2022, when Jay Emmerson and his team acquired this beautiful space – the old Bank of Scotland building that is located in the West End of Aberdeen. Milton on the Corner joined a family of already quite well known Milton names in Scotland, such as Milton Brasserie and Milton’s Little Kitchen. The building has an undeniably historic charm to it, making it a terrific spot to celebrate, gather together and enjoy delicious food and drink over laughter and surrounded by love. So, is it any surprise that Milton on the Corner is the hosting spot for many Christmas parties come the festive period?
Aside from the main restaurant and bar in Milton on the Corner, there are two spaces for private dining which could be perfect for hosting a Christmas party. First of all, there’s Nate's Snug which has room for up to eight people, located in the back of the restaurant, which is an intimate area with its own fireplace and chalet inspired decor – dare we say it, perfect for Christmas. Then there is Ethan's Gallery, a space able to accommodate up to 12 guests, and in the main restaurant, but located to one side. Ethan’s Gallery is bright and airy, with warm lighting that hangs overhead and red velvet seating.
The festive menu kicks off with a roast garlic and leek soup served with freshly baked bread, or, a dish of beetroot cured salmon, a duck liver parfait or goats cheese filo. Your main dish may be the full works, a roast turkey with pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, vegetables, skirlie, brussel sprouts and redcurrant gravy, or there are options of fillet of beef medallions, cod loin or a red pepper and Mediterranean vegetables risotto. Last but not least there are the desserts. Choose from classic Christmas pudding with Cointreau sauce, a white chocolate cheesecake with passionfruit glaze and pineapple, toffee apple tart or chef's cheese selection with grapes, chutney and oatcakes.
